Right & Wrong Vs Likes & Dislikes

Deciding on our own choices is the most comfortable way of taking decisions. It is difficult and sometimes painful when we are expected to include others' perspective in our decisions. I have seen people debating and proving that “I am right”, but in fact they should discuss to prove “What is right”.

Propensity to leave

It has been observed that people are now leaving/changing companies frequently. Earlier, people used to stay in companies/organizations until they retire. But later, the duration was reduced to 10-15 years, it was again reduced to 5-9 years, it was again reduced to 2-4 years. But now, people are leaving/changing companies in less than two years.

One of the most important elements that differentiated workforce strategy brings in the organizational culture is measurement of value added by employees and positions to the strategic goals (Becker, Huselid, & Beatty, p.151). In other words, it specifically focuses on strategic impact of workforce and jobs (Becker et al., 2009, p.152), which further enables organizations in developing strategic performance measurement system (Becker et al., 2009, p.153).
Instead of depending too much on benchmarking, companies should examine that how employees uniquely contribute to strategic success of the company (Becker et al., 2009, pp.147-149).
